Where Brijee is different
Subscriptions cost nothing extra
A recurring charge is priced like any other card payment: 2.8% + 25¢. Stripe Billing adds 0.7% on top of its card rate, so a $50/month subscription effectively costs about 3.6% + 30¢ there.
One line of code — or none
Send a payment link, print a QR code, or paste one script tag to take payments on your own site. A full API and webhooks are there when you want them.
Customers can cancel themselves
Every subscription comes with a cancel link that works without a login. Fewer support emails, fewer disputes.
A real person behind your payments
Brijee is run by a payments agent who answers. No ticket queues, no chatbot loops — email support that a person reads.
Where Stripe may fit better
We would rather tell you straight. Stripe is a good fit if you need:
- Bank payments at the lowest rate — Stripe's ACH is 0.8% vs our 1% (both capped at $5).
- Apple Pay today — it's on our roadmap, but not live yet. Google Pay is live.
- Selling in many currencies or countries — Brijee is built for US businesses charging in US dollars.
- A large ecosystem of prebuilt integrations with other software.
Common questions
Is Brijee really cheaper than Stripe?
For online card payments, yes: 2.8% + 25¢ vs 2.9% + 30¢. For subscriptions the gap is bigger, because Stripe Billing adds 0.7% per recurring charge and Brijee adds nothing. One place Stripe is cheaper: ACH bank payments, 0.8% vs our 1%.
How hard is it to switch?
Apply in a few minutes with your business name and contact details. Once your merchant account is approved — often within a day or two — you replace your payment link, button, or embed line and you're done.
Do I lose features by switching?
Payment links, hosted checkout, a one-line website embed, subscriptions, saved cards, Google Pay, QR codes, receipts, refunds, and a developer API with webhooks are all included. Apple Pay is not live yet.
Why is Brijee's rate lower?
Brijee runs on established Fiserv payment infrastructure and keeps its own overhead small. Each business gets its own merchant account, and pricing is published — no call-us-for-a-quote.
